Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, has written a letter addressed to the Apple community in which he assures he is not ready to die. He is to be recovering through Spring of this year from a hormone imbalance which has cause he unhealthy weight loss. I, for my part, never believed the rumors about Steve’s health issues, but nonetheless relieved the iconic CEO is not to step off as chairman of Apple. The full, detailed letter written by Mr. Jobs himself, can be found over at MacRumors.com. URL: http://www.macrumors.com/2009/01/05/steve-jobs-missing-macworld-due-to-health/
Steve assures he is fine.
January 5, 2009Steve Jobs Health
September 14, 2008Another big announcement at the “Let’s Rock” event this Tuesday, is that Steve Jobs is actually alive, and from what we saw, in pretty good shape. At the beginnning of the keynote, he just turned away the rumors by the flick of a finger, using Mark Twain’s phrase “Reports of my Death are Greatly Exaggerated”, and just moved on with his keynote (Steve is just a genius). Steve Jobs’s appearance at the event really soothed Apple share holders, who were scared of his health issues, and of his possible death. So, what would Apple become if ever Jobs had to leave his CEO job or even worse, if he happened to die? In my opinion, Apple is a well oiled company and is something should happen to the CEO, there would be great people behind to take the company in relay. Some people have been exaggerating that if Apple would lose Jobs Apple would go down the drain, which is a bit far fetched. Of course, Apple would not be the Apple I know without Steve Jobs at the reign’s, without his genius mind thinking out new products and services, but saying that Apple would cease to exist would be very extreme. I mean, a company that has 73% of the mp3 player market will not just vanish into thin air, will it? So, for now let’s just enjoy Apple as it currently is and not worry about it’s stability nor it’s CEO’s health.
New iPod Nano
September 14, 2008
The holiday season has come and with it, the usual refresh of the iPod line, bringing us a new Nano and a new iPod Touch. The new Nano is just gorgeous! I fell under it’s seduction power the second eye contact with it, proving once again that Apple always has the most sexy and appealing products on the market. Let’s rewind back before the Nano’s launch, when the rumored (and soon discovered to be true) pictures have been published on Kevin Rose’s blog, I thought the picture was awful and that Apple could not permit itself to release something like that, with a curved screen, perfect for a maximum reflection and glare. Now, I am just in love with this product and plan to buy it this holiday season and write a hands-on review. One of the fun (but not ground-breaking- features is the shake to shuffle, which permits the user to shake (quite violently) his iPod and turn on shuffle. This is just a well thought-out Apple-ish feature that only the Cupertino-based company can pull off. The integrated accelerometer permits the iPod to be rotated horizontally, and have the cover flow artwork show up, proving that Apple has learnt a lot from the iPhone and applying it to their other products. What do you think of this iPod, or the Touch? Feel free to drop a comment stating your feelings about the current iPod holiday lineup.
