The general idea of gambling is to put some money on the table, then leaving it all to luck. Gambling is generally done in casinos, playing cards, roulette, and so on. 90% of the time, you lose, that’s the way it is. It’s the 10% left that intrigue gamblers, so they keep playing hoping that the luck will knock on their door. That was gambling in my own words. I don’t generally condone gambling and feel it is wrong because it is a risk that isn’t worth taking, but nonetheless, the idea of winning the jackpot is still appealing. But I do think that people, of their own will, should be allowed to go into a casino and throw some money in, hopefully winning. Now what do you think of it? Maybe you agree, maybe you don’t. February 5, 2009iPod Shuffle: The hidden gem
November 2, 2008I have owned iPods and always been happy with them. One of my favorite iPod is the small and cute shuffle. Apart from its form factor and the wearability, the design intrigues me: it just couldn’t get simpler. While other MP3 player are adding knobs and switches to their products to fool the customer by it’s useless features, Apple just purifies the design again and again, until they reach ultimate simplicity. The iPod shuffle is a witness to that. Only the essential parts are included with the shuffle (play, pause, next…). I own an older blue 1GB shuffle I have bought about 1 year ago. If you just want to have your best songs and no extra weight in your pocket. I could see that work for people working out (making out?), people jogging etc… You can clip it anywhere. I usually clip it to my pocket or belt. Simply sync, clip, enjoy. In my opinion everyone should have a shuffle. Come on 49$ for the 1GB model, don’t cheap out on me here!?! This object is a real work of art.
What will make me like this end of year in the PS3 games lineup
August 31, 2008This end of year for the PS3 is a very exciting one indeed! With all these games coming out I will have almost too much to play! First of all a game that I am pretty sure I am going to pick up is Resident Evil 5. The trailers and gameplay videos are pretty nice. The main reason this game is appealing to me is that it is a kind of “horror” game which is intended to give the gamer really good sensations. The graphics look very good and the story is pretty good. Next one game that I thought I would have never considered even thinking of buying, Saints Row 2. Before reading a detailed article about the game and the story what the game would be like I was like “Yeah another GTA-like crappy game that will try imitating the GTA like feeling and will probably be a huge mess”. This game is a really attractive one to buy (in my opinion). Next, a massive online game (60 player online) is a must-have for PS3 owners, Resistance 2. This game is the Gears of War for PS3. For the gameplay videos I have seen the game will be a real must-have. Another game to look at for this end of year is LittleBigPlanet. This is a fresh game that looks very appealing. I personally am still investigating whether to buy the game or not (I can’t buy every game that is out!). So, as you have read this end of year is a very exciting one for the gaming industry. Which games are you excited about? Which console do you own? You are welcome to leave a comment talking about what YOU are excited about.
