What will make me like this end of year in the PS3 games lineup

August 31, 2008

This end of year for the PS3 is a very exciting one indeed! With all these games coming out I will have almost too much to play! First of all a game that I am pretty sure I am going to pick up is Resident Evil 5. The trailers and gameplay videos are pretty nice. The main reason this game is appealing to me is that it is a kind of “horror” game which is intended to give the gamer really good sensations. The graphics look very good and the story is pretty good. Next one game that I thought I would have never considered even thinking of buying, Saints Row 2. Before reading a detailed article about the game and the story what the game would be like I was like “Yeah another GTA-like crappy game that will try imitating the GTA like feeling and will probably be a huge mess”. This game is a really attractive one to buy (in my opinion). Next, a massive online game (60 player online) is a must-have for PS3 owners, Resistance 2. This game is the Gears of War for PS3. For the gameplay videos I have seen the game will be a real must-have. Another game to look at for this end of year is LittleBigPlanet. This is a fresh game that looks very appealing. I personally am still investigating whether to buy the game or not (I can’t buy every game that is out!). So, as you have read this end of year is a very exciting one for the gaming industry. Which games are you excited about? Which console do you own? You are welcome to leave a comment talking about what YOU are excited about.

Grand Theft Auto IV Review (PS3 version)

June 16, 2008

Here is my review of the best selling game for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 out now which is Grand theft Auto 4. This is a must have, all from the graphics to the soundtrack to the voices of character to the story-line and finally the incredible new online game features. Lets start with the graphics, they are awesome! These are by far the best graphics in the history of gaming in any console. All the characters have close to real life faces and expressions. The game is also very very very detailed. For example you could be walking down a small alleyway and find someone leaning on the wall smoking a cigar! when you push people they react usually by insulting you (like in any GTA game) and sometimes you end up in a fight because you made mad the person you pushed. When you are in the middle of the road and a car get close and bumps you, Niko goes to the ground and gets hurt then blames the man in the car by telling him he was really foolish of doing do.

The soundtrack is also excellent. Rockstar always chooses the best songs in all the genres and puts them in the game radio and game in general. My favorite song is Soviet connection which is the theme for Grand Theft Auto IV, a wonderful song by Michael Hunter. The online features give this GTA an unlimited replay period and the gamers would want to keep it because of the fun you have playing it. My favorite 2 modes are the more classic kind of ones which are death-match and team death-match. When I get bored or stuck in a mission I fire out the virtual phone and scroll down to the multiplayer section and let the fun start! This is a game that made me buy my PS3 and it was a game I was waiting to put my hands on. If you agree with this review or disagree with my thoughts, feel free to leave a comment to express your thoughts over this topic!

My Thoughts On Gaming

May 5, 2008

I am not much of a gamer. My gaming limits are set by my Macbook because of its low end video card. Now don’t get me wrong I love my Macbook and other Macbook owners can confirm that the Macbook is an awesome computer. But they can also tell you this: the integrated Macbook graphics are not made for hard core gaming. Here are the games that I enjoy to play on my Windows Vista Boot Camp partition: Fifa 08, which is the direct competitor of Pro Evolution Soccer (by the way I have been a long time Fifa fan and have not enjoyed playing PES) and GTA San Andreas, which is a 2004 game that I still enjoy to play with. But because of the console high prices I could not afford one because of the price of the games and the actual game consoles. Read the rest of this entry »
